Complaints against tenants

We bought a house just over a year ago and have a housing association property right next to us. The tenants are a really nice family but moving out in 3 weeks. Speaking to them I've just found out that the house is designated as temporary accommodation for council tenants who are being moved elsewhere. Its had 5 tenants since 2001 all of which have been slightly troublesome families. They have lived there for 2 years as they both work and pay all the bills but as a general rule families are only housed there for a maximum of 12 months.

Chances are the new family that moves in will be OK, but history seems to indicate this may not be the case.

Is there anyway I can find out any complaints history for the property over the last few years from the Housing Association and are they at liberty to supply me with that info? Also when the surveys were done, shouldnt any complaints by the previous owners made on next doors property have been disclosed to any prospective buyers?

you usually have to disclose any material facts like arguments with neighbours (not in the survey though) What makes you think there have been compaints about the previous tennants?

I'm not sure there have been any complaints made, but due to what has been said about the previous tenants by other people living in the street I'm taking an educated guess that this could be the case and want to make sure that if so, correct procedure has been followed.

any complaints are held at your local council offices and you can request and see any previous complaints
