Hi Guys RE the brutal slaughter of poor cats and dogs as i said i would i telephoned the news of the world yesterday and i spoke to a journalist i expressed are concerns about what the daily mail had printed and i asked if it would be possible for the N.O.World to set a petition going in there paper . the journalist fully understood and agreed with us BUT because the daily mail had already printed the story and set a petition going they would not print one but he did say that he would mention this to his editor during this conversation i kept mine and everyone's identity private so i am sorry guys i did not have any luck but i have passed the petition link on to all my friends and family i wish you all well and sorry about my spelling love you's megan

At least you are trying your best and did contact the paper.I too was under the impression that the Daily Mail had started a petition on behalf of it's readers regarding the cruelty to those animals.
I, like you am trying to get this brought to the attention of those who may have some input into it.
I will get back to you, as those horrifc pictures are lodged in my mind.

yes Lonnie, I agree with you - I dont buy eggs unless I can see the chickens running around, but I am probably a hypocrit as I eat meat, albeit mostly chicken. I think this has just sickened me more as they are animals that we have domesticated in England, and the photos sickened me, plus the fact that this was banned some time ago after a petition was raised, but is still going on.

Megan, I emailed Dog World and although they didnt respond to me, they put an article in this weeks paper with the website address for the petition, and it is on a couple of web sites. Got 122 signatures to date - could do with about 10 times that though!! Hope you are all emailing the link to your friends?

thanks megan - will do - i was hoping to getting to around a thousand signatures and then sending it to downing street. I was looking on a trade site yesterday for something totally unrelated, and noticed that 95% of the companies were in China - think we all need to stop buying their products if we want to make a difference.
