Eldest Siblings are Smarter?

New research has controversially announced that first born children are likely to have higher IQs than their siblings. The research looked at 250,000 male Norwegian conscripts. There have been many different claims as to why this is the case including; the eldest child gets more undivided attention from their parents from an early age, or that differences occur in the womb before birth because with each subsequent pregnancy the mother produces higher levels of antibodies that may attack the foetal brain. What do you think? Are you eldest siblings cleverer than your brothers/sisters?

I'm the eldest child and im thick as S**T! My 13 year old sister is smarter than me. :-( I blame my parents... my Mum dropped me on the floor at birth :'-(

I'd say both my elder brother and my younger sister would probably beat me in an IQ test (although obviously I am highly intelligent!).

My sister who is the youngest is the smartest in our family.

I'm the youngest of 7 and I would be near the top in our family.

I am the middle of 3 and while my wee brother was academically more successful I reckon I'm smarter than both my sister and my brother.

my oldest child is deff more clever, and my older sister is more clever. That said my mum always said i was just as clever, but i didnt want to apply myself. my little one is more carefree and cant be bothered with reading etc

Supernick , my eldest sister , the eldest of 8 was really beautiful , she was a Miss 1967 , and was one of those leggy dancers in the Black and White Minstrels ( if anyone is old enough to have heard of them ), whereas , I being the youngest female , 7th child , am certainly the runt of the family who must have been on the loo when good looks were being handed out ! :-(

definitely true of my own family. My younger siblings all drag their knuckles on the ground as they walk and communicate in grunts.
