Social Politics, Leadership and Intellectual Property

Two friends and I were in the pub having a bit of a drink and a chat(but not a smoke ::sob::) and friend #1 was telling us about an idea he'd had which we all discussed in a theoretical fashion. Thinking some more when sober I formed the idea into something feasible, setting up an organization which would galvanize everything we believed and were discussing. Naturally, since I put in all the hard work I want to lead it. However, as it was his idea what do I do if he wants to take control of it? His plans are extreme and would be counter-productive and not wide-spread enough, he also does not have the right image. Friend #2 would want to be a part of it but not lead. Does Friend #1 have the right, even though without my thought and input it would never come to fruition because he's not that type of person - do I go ahead and do it, where I would have control but is a bit harsh or do I tell him and get him round to my way of thinking - though if he doesn't I run the risk of him hyjacking my plans and ideas which is just as much an intellectual theft as I'm concerned I'm doing to him. ARGH!!! What should I do people??
