The ones that bug me

This is a bit of a steal from wendilla post {sorry wendilla}. The things that bug me when i'm out is, 1. People that don't hold the door open for you when you are clearly just about to go through the same door as them. {common courtesy} 2. People who have to take up a table seat on a train with their bags, coats etc clearly trying to state, this is my space go away. 3. Disrepect for OAP's, Mothers with children & people with disabilitys when it comes to either assisting the above mentioned by helping them ie giving up a seat on a bus/train, helping them cross the road, holding doors open etc. 4. Queue jumpers {as wendilla pointed out}, is this due to lack of manners or inpatience's or both by some people. 5. Consistent playing around of mobile phones in all public areas { how annoying} These are just some of the things that bug me {no i'm not a wannabee victor meldrew lol} I was going to mention smoking, but thank god for July 1st 2007, please feel free to share your dislikes if you so wish.

I agree with all of yours!, I would also like to add how children are not encouraged to throw their litter into bins. I live near a shop and I have seen countless children throwing away wrappers when there are bins available.

there is also a lack of regard when they do it, infact they make it look almost a normal thing to do!! I was always brought up to carry my litter in my pocket until I found a rubbish bin available.

woohoo for the smoke ban, this has contributed to my dad finally giving up the weed at the grand age of 64 (he was smoking since he was 8)

I was following a car and the driver threw a fag packet out of the window. The lights were red so I got out of my car, handed it back to him through the window and said sweetly "I think you dropped this". His face was a picture. Mind being blonde and female helped me get away with this one!!

I agree with opening doors and queue. But also you mention oap's and mothers with children etc. I will always help anyone in need no matter what race/age etc but some oaps and mothers think they have every right in the world. I hate it when I'm in a busy shop and I will wait for a mother to come down the aisle with her pushchair and do I get a thank you!! No I dont!! I sometimes shout it after. And as for some OAPs pushing into queue, we also have one in out town that will beep her horn on her mobility scooter and almost run you off the pavement. Its all about manners to me. Oh and I hate people spitting in the street.

I hate it when im out and i hear kids swearing, i have seen some as young as about 7 and i hate it, i have to say something to them. I have 3 kids of my own and i would flip if i hear them swear, it sounds awful when kids do it.

I also hate it when there is a que and the person at the checkout takes ages and ages and seems not to care about the large que they have, it may be down to impatience on my part but it does annoy me.

I also hate it when im driving and i let people out and dont get a thank you or a simple hand wave, it really really winds me up, so a bit like yours 4getmenot with the mothers with the pushchairs.
By the way i always say 'thank you' when people let me past be it in supermarkets or in the car.

all the above, as an aside confused, does it also annoy you when you let someone out while driving and all they can be bothered to do is raise their index finger off the steering wheel?

Back to the swearing though by kids, i was sitting at my desk yesterday and as obviosuly the weather has been hot i had the window open, well i am very close to a youth building and out side there was this young lady shall we say, shouting the odds at a worker and she shouted to the top of her the C word, god it make my office so quite it was unreal. She must of been about 13, did she realise how low and discusting she sounded!

The C word is disgusting as it is let alone coming from a 13 year old. My mates 6 year old had been playing round her aunties neighbours, very scummy kids and when she came back she called her mum a c**t, and when my mate said what did you say she continued to say c**t, c**t, c**t, c**t.

Oh no thats horrible, poor kid.
What annoys me even more is when the parents laugh when their children say it, i was taking my son to school and a little boy said it was about 4 and his mum laughed with her friend about it, what was she like?!

Was going in to the the supermarket and a young Mum was pushing a boy in front of me and he was saying "going to shops " he said it over and over , the Mum's reply was "Shut the F*** up " What a way to speak to a child , so that's why they swear when they start school, they get it from the parents .

Hi everyone what really really bugs me more than any of the above is simply walking through my home town and getting harrassed by sales people. No word of a lie I can walk from the bus station into the shopping centre which takes less than 5 mins and will be asked at least 4 times if I want to fill in a questionnaire or buy the big issue or change telephone/gas company etc. You can see them all practically lined up waiting to pounce! It especially annoys me when you politely say no thankyou to someone selling the big issue then they say something really sarcastic back or swear at you!
