removing unknown stains from silk dress
3 Answers
There are some slight marks on the back of a silk dress my daughter has - 2 problems - 1, we don't know what they are, except I don't think it's grease, 2, she wants to wear it tomorrow night! Washing it (in a machine with biological powder - it survived!) took out light stains, but not these ones. They're not that noticeable, but might be nice to try to get them out with a spot cleaner, not have to wash it again. Thanks! :O)

Other than that, try putting some bicarb on to it and adding some fizzy water to make it bubble, the stain should lift off. I used that on a pair of jeans so I'm not sure how it would fair on silk.
Good luck!

Thank you Stu and Andrea, Stu for giving me a good laugh just as I'm finishing work for the day (I usually laugh when I'm leaving work, but I laughed louder today!) and Andrea for her (sensible!) suggestion :O) Andrea, I have some Fairy liquid and some bicarb.. (wonder what happens when you mix them together... let's find out!).
Thanks again! Neet
