Commandos: On The Front Line
Was watching this last night on TV - I always thought that the army was very shouty when they trained their new recruits - 'DO THIS SOLDIER' and 'DON'T CALL ME SIR, I WORK FOR A LIVING'.
Last night the Troop Commander and Corporal seemed to be quite relaxed and chummy with the recruits - is this normal for the Marines?

Mind you, I think if that guy was my troop commander, I'd have to forget stuff a few times so I had an excuse to keep going back and seeing him, if you know what I mean - yum! :-0

4GS your full of it! The documentary about the Marines is showing an insight into the training they go through, you have to remember that they are not going to show the instructors beating them because this is also an advert for the Marines so they don't want to put possible recruits off!
Believe me it goes on, and they are brutal!
The Marines are renound for being the best troops in the world, they are the UK's rapid reaction force, who are also specialists in mountain warfare, They are trained to enter a combat zone by sea, land or air and have a record that speaks for itself! They are also the men whp protect this country so I think the Marines deserve some respect!
