what happened to me?....very dizzy etc.

yesterday I worked on the computer for a few hours straight, but when I came off it last night all of a sudden i was very light headed (very dizzy). This has happened a few times before, doctor ruled out diabetes and said it's more than likely something to do with my diet, anemia (lack of iron).usually I eat a yoghurt, and it then goes away, but last night it didn't it stayed, and everytime i walked it felt like I was leaning to the left (off balance) - that probably makes no sense.
I walked around for about an hour and it still wouldn't go away. i couldn't go downstairs because everytime I walked down a step it got worse. I was numb all over and had a slight headache.
The weird thing is if I turned off the light it got worse and if I lay down it was bad also. so I had to sleep sitting up with the light on. and my glasses on. could the computer screen have had anything to do with it? I was listening to music kinda loud on earphones as well. When I woke up this morning I was fine. But around 9pm tonight (or as it's gone passed midnight - last night) it came back, the off balance part. what is that?
I dont take medication, tablets so wouldn't touch a headache tablet or anything else to see if that'd get rid of it. please could someone tell me, thanks

It could be caused by all manner of things, from an imbalance of the ear to a drop in blood pressure. Then again, tiredness, not eating correctly, stress, etc., could all cause similar symptoms, as well as the fact that your glasses may need changing. Hope you soon feel better anyway.
Ice-Maiden and Ethel - , that doesn't sound too good, I don't like going to my GP, he gives same medication no matter what's wrong with you. but I'll book an appointment just to be on the safe side at least. and the opticians have been sending me mail saying i'm way overdue for eye test.
4GS - Thanks aswell, no I'm the only one with it, It was college work on home computer but no one else in the house had it before despite them also working long hours at a computer. can a monitor be out of position.
I haven't had any syptoms today so far, which is a good sign. thanks again you three for answering, I was worrying about what it might be.

My husband had similar symptoms to you some years ago - he worked in a Bank and was at a computer screen most of the day. They eventually found out that it was the pixels on the computer screen and the IT department sorted out his monitor for him - it didn't happen again. If you know about computers then maybe you should have a look or get someone who does know, to have a look for you. I hope you get it sorted.
