When I was younger I had a really big crush on this boy in highschool, I'm sure you all know the hottest boy in the year that all the girls swoon over. I used to write in my diary everyday about him and if I got to sit next to him in class that would take up two pages. Lol. Anyways on my 13th birthday he came up to me and gave me a birthday card in the playground, I was so happy he had made my day, every little detail I wrote about in diary, how he's put love ALWAYS and how it had my favourite animal on front and that he'd put kisses. That card was on my bedside cabinet for years. Anyway as I got older I went to 6thform he became ugly and gay I think and I know longer fancied him. Just recently I got hold of a mate through internet who I used to class as my best mate at school and we were chatting and she said 'you remember that time I got Daniel to give you that card'!!!!!! Gutted absolutely gutted. She had bought the card knowing my fave animal, and written it out and made him give it to me!! I know it was long time ago but I don't know whats worse my mate lying to me all through high school or that I was stupid enough to think he'd like me or even know my birthday!! Anyway I'd like to ask has anyone ever given a present pretending to be someone else just to cheer someone up and has it ever worked??
A friend at 6th form passed on a valentine card to me from my secret admirer. She spent days telling me how lovely and nice this guy was and how she knew I'd like him.
Turned out it was a prat from work, ugliest guy there and so geeky. I was gutted :(
I shouldnt worry about it. If it made you happy at the time, and you later didnt fancy him, I dont think it matters. The guy agreed to give it didnt he, so in a way it was from him.
I cant say I have done this to someone else, I am however, now paranoid in case its been done to me! lol
You shouldnt be so hard on yourself or your friend though. Dont you think it sweet and thoughtful of her to want to make you so happy on your brithday?
I frequently send valentines cards to men who I know are single so they get at least one. I never say it's from me so does that count?
They are usually pleased or bashful about it.
yer I guess so but then I wouldnt do that to anyone I dont like getting people hopes up for nothing. If someone asks me what I think of something I'm always truthful even if it isnt something they want to hear
yer hellion valentines are about secret cards though and if you want to send them to them thats ok, but if you'd put they were from someone they really fancied isnt that bad?
i used ebay this year for 14/2, got two sellers to send cards to my other half! they thought it was hsyterical and went along with it! he rumbled me cos he knows i`m a lovely, big softy
just buy a valentine card and get the seller to make up a soppy message and send with no name! subloodyperb
