dado rail

Some of you may remember I wanted a dado rail put up and got a quote of �140. A lot of you said how cheap this was for a chippie in London so I booked him to do the job but he didn't turn up! I was SO pleased that I had taken a day off for nothing! There is a happy ending to this story. I got in touch with another carpenter who quoted me �120! He came today and did a really good job! If any of you want is number just let me know.

Dado rails are really easy to put up yourself. I did years ago and I have very little DIY experience - I even managed to mitre the corners without difficulty! I'd certainly not want to pay to have it done- however, I do not know your circumstances so maybe that would not be an option for you/

I had it fitted in my hall,stairs and landing and just did not think I could manage all those angles!
