Dear John DVD
6 Answers
Does anyone know why the DVDs of the 1980's John Sullivan comedy 'Dear John' starring the late Ralph Bates, do not seem to be available anywhere ?
Is it perhaps due to some restriction built into Ralph Bates's wil ?
In any case, if anybody has any information on where I could obtain a copy (legally !) I'd be most grateful.

I sold the lot on eBay for well over 50 each - I couldn't understand why people were prepared to pay so much instead of buying online from Woolworths as I did.
Woolworths ran out of stock and I couldn't get anymore.
There is currently one boxed set on Amazon for 75, or a Buy it Now on eBay for 35

It is simply not being produced anymore. It is also available from my local library for hire.

I don't think it's ever been produced on DVD, No idea why because I'm sure it would sell, perhaps there is some legal reason. Ethel is referring to something ancient called fideeo! I have it copied to DVD from the Tapes. Classic series. They do endless repeats of some shows and gems like this never see the light of day, I don't get it!
