Bin Laden still around
Bin Laden has issued yet another tape, his fifth this year, a rallying call for Al-Qeda and their apologists.

After six years, it seems the Americans are no nearer finding him and and bringing him to account for the 9/11 atrocity. Bush says getting Bin laden is 'a low priority'.

Why so?
Do you think American knows where he is?
It suits them for him to remain free?
They just cannot find him?
He is already dead?
Capturing Bin Laden will make no difference?
Or another reason. What do you think?

As long as they have a 'bogeyman' it gives the hawks in the US senate the excuse to have a massive defence budget
I think it suits the US purpose for bin Laden to be floating around issuing terrible threats.
In the years since 9/11, Islam has become more and more commonly headline news (the teddy bear is an outstanding example) and frankly each time it does it is rarely good publicity for them. So spout away bin Laden, you are not helping your cause any more old son.

If they wanted old Bed Linen, he'd be brown bread by now, or in Cuba.
Do you think American knows where he is?
Not precicely but they could find him if they wanted.
It suits them for him to remain free?
I believe they need a "Bogey man" to justify what they are doing, they've killed or captured just about all the other bogey men.
They just cannot find him? see above
He is already dead?
Possibly
Capturing Bin Laden will make no difference?
I don't think it will help directly although it would have symbolic meaning to the enemy

Is he dead?
From wiki:
"Reports alleging Osama bin Laden's death have circulated since late 2001. In the months following the 9/11 terrorist attack, many people believed that bin Laden was dead. This belief was perpetuated by subsequent media reports often referencing bin Laden's serious health problems, though there has been stronger evidence to suggest that he is still alive.
April 2005
The Sydney Morning Herald stated "Dr Clive Williams, director of terrorism studies at the Australian National University, says documents provided by an Indian colleague suggested bin Laden died of massive organ failure in April last year 'It's hard to prove or disprove these things because there hasn't really been anything that allows you to make a judgment one way or the other', Dr. Williams said."
August 2006
On 23 September 2006, the French newspaper L'Est Rpublicain quoted a report from the French secret service (DGSE) stating that Osama bin Laden had died in Pakistan on 23 August 2006, after contracting a case of typhoid fever that paralyzed his lower limbs.[citation needed] According to the newspaper, Saudi security services first heard of bin Laden's alleged death on 4 September 2006. The alleged death was reported by the Saudi Arabian secret service to its government, which reported it to the French secret service.
CNN's Nic Robertson said that he had received confirmation from an anonymous Saudi source that the Saudi intelligence community has known for a while that bin Laden has a water-borne illness, but that he had heard no reports that it was specifically typhoid or that he had died."
Are all the tapes therefore fakes?

And he was/is an Arsenal fan:
"In early 1994, Osama bin Laden spent three months in London. He visited supporters and bankers in search of funding for terrorist ventures. He also went to see the famous British football club Arsenal play four times (even buying his sons gifts from the club's souvenir shop before narrowly avoiding extradition"
Or is that just more CIA lies to discredit him?

He's an Arsenal fan? No wonder he wants to blow up things!
Anyway I think the tapes could well have been made in advance, he must have known what the yanks would do following 911 and presumably he managed the post 911 in advance knowing that he'd be innefective by either being dead, captured or having to hide.

OBL alive or dead is largely an irrelevance. They all operate in cells and its doubtfull there is one singel leader.
In addition if he is dead saying so may provoke the mad mullahs and he could well be made a martyr or whatever the religion gives to its extreme followers (is there an equivalent to a saint?)

It seems he has moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan but we are unlikely to track him down there which poses a much different problem. All of the suicide bombers and Taliban are trained in Pakistan so are we trying to hit the wrong target by focussing all our energies in Afghanistan? I seriously think we should alter our strategies!
