Lonely pet mouse
I had two female mice, both 6 weeks old when I got them in September 2006. One has just died - I don't know why - she very quickly became wobbly and shaky and then was gone. The other is fine. If I get another female 6-week old mouse, will the resident mouse accept her? How long is my surviving mouse likely to live?

Mice usually live for about eighteen months to two years, although some can live longer. They are very sociable animals, why not get two young ones, then when you do lose the other older one they will still have company. I am sure the older one will accept the younger ones and it may give her a new lease of life looking after the kids.
