...had the most beautiful story I have ever heard about dogs. Don't know if anyone else receives it, so thought I would pass on.

A man wrote to the mag to share an experience he had as a Vet. He did a home visit to put an old dog to sleep, and the family's 4-y-o son was present. He wasn't sure about this, but the family and the child were.
Following the procedure, the Vet spoke to the child about what had just happened. The little boy said that humans are born to learn how to live peaceful, non-harmful lives, but dogs are already nice, and make people happy, so they don't need to live as long...

I cried, and cried, and cried! Just thought it would be worth sharing with all you animal people, I know most of you are as soppy as me! x

See it's just set me off again, re-reading my post! How true is it. And how much perspective does it bring? x
leelapops
That is one of the nicest stories I have heard.
Think that little boy makes a lot of sense.
Thanks for sharing that story xx

Isn't it cruella :) Thank you. How are you love? And your hubby? And little Misty? If I show Jack her pic he blushes ;)
x
Hi leela,
Misty is fine.
Hubby is okay but no cure can be found.
So, he just has to go on having operations every three months for the time being.
I am on sick leave for the first time in 14 years.
I had biopsies done yesterday, so getting the results next Wednesday.
Feel we are on a roller coaster at the moment leela but we will get through this I am sure.

Oh cruella, I am so sorry to hear this. As if things weren't bad enough for you...I really hope you are found to be well.
I feel for you so much: you are genuinely lovely, and lovely people don't deserve bad things :(

I know I am only a pixel, but I am always here to talk to, of just to offload onto. PM me anytime. x
Thanks leela,
Appreciate your kind thought as always.
We are both fine, considering.
Like I said yesterday, if they find anything, we will deal with it and get it sorted.
We are both very positive people.
Misty cannot understand why she cannot jump up on me at the moment to play. I feel for her.
Anyway, thanks again leela.
Think I am more concerned about having to take time off work. lol Can you believe that?
What a lovely story, oh we are soppy but better to be that way than the other.I am going to copy that for my animal crackers friends..I can see us all shedding a tear when we meet in the park. Thanks for sharing .g.
Hi leelapops. I get WAG magazine too and couldn't wait to tell other dog-friendly mates about that letter. It was just lovely.
The stories about the rehomed dogs were lovely too.

PS - I don't know your situation Cruella but it sounds like you could do with a big lick and kiss from my insane pup Bella - so I'm sending it to you and your hubby.
I got that delivered today. What page is the story on?
That really is so so lovely!
And for such a young child to come out with something so wonderful and true is amazing!
tiggerblue10 - it is on the back page underneath the rip-off sponsor form. It is called Wisdom of Youth.
PS - Also check out the story about Colonel Mustard and Tim on page 17.
Just looking at the mag, i'd love to take all those little doggies home and give them lots and lots of love but sadly it's not possible.Cruella ,I hope it's nothing too serious good luck for the results on Wednesday, I'm going through the same thing at the moment, had a blood test and it showed the cancer is spreading so had to have an MRI scan last week I get the results on Monday. I'm going to tell them I don't want to know the prognosis and just enjoy each day just being alive, My thoughts are with you and hubby, keep thinking positive. Gelda xx

Thank you so much for the licks from Bella.
Also thanks to Gelda.
Hope you get some good results Gelda.
I have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
As you know, my Hubby has Cancer which is not responding to treatment.
Positive thinking for all of us. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As the saying goes "Out of the Mouths of babes and sucklings" a lovely story.
hope everything works out for you

I am so glad you have all enjoyed it :) I love getting my Wag Mag! I also get the PDSA one quarterly too, and that always makes me laugh and cry!

I will be ripping that story out and finding a cute frame for it.

Poor Misty, cruella, she just knows she loves you though, and that you love her and that's what matters :) Keep us posted.
Have a great day everyone. xx
Thanks leela
I will keep you posted but getting results until Wednesday
MIsty is only a wee Westie Girlie as you know but then again, I am also short so that is why I had to stop her jumping up.
She still runs around like a puppy would do, although she will be two on Monday.
She will stop by Jack's kennel tomorrow. x
leelapops - that's so sweet. Thank you for sharing it with us. Cruella - I'm so sorry to hear you've not been well either. I haven't logged on to my e-mails for quite a while, but I'll be on line tomorrow. I'll be in touch.
Gelda, I didn't realize you are in the same position - God bless and I'm thinking of you. Love to all of you, K xxx
Question Author
gelda I had no idea you were going through the same as cruella, and I am sorry to hear you have taken a turn for the worse. I really feel for you.
cruella: Jack very much looks forward to Misty's visit! I know how you feel, I am a teeny myself, and even Jack's relatively little paws can bowl me over!
tigger did you find it?
Kleiber, love, nice to see you, you have been missed round here! :) How're things with you?

x
Not too bad, thanks, leelapops. I just haven't got round to logging on for a while - I get in from work, do all the animals, put chickens to bed, then have to log on to company website & download day's work, then get supper & by then am absolutely kn******d, so usually just go to bed!! Hope you're OK & thanks for asking how I am!! Love, K xx
at least thats a nice thought to me after i lost my dog. i still cant see why she left me. when she had been better than most humans . bless. Its not fair why they should go so quick.......
