favourites

I for some reason and some how moved the favourites from the taskbar on the top of the screen and the star for favourites comes up blank .when I go to file and import export I can find them but how do you return them back to where they were on the task bar and there with the star .I can get ome of the sites by going to history ut tis will only last for a shot time or will it .Any one any idea .Thanks
