In can hurt a lot more especially if it's the first experience is not there and it feels like the end of world. Even at my great age I can remember feeling like this when a relationship ended at 17.
Have a good cry rocky dude. It's good for blokes to cry, they should do it more often. I know it's hard to think you will ever feel the same again, but you will and probably be hurt again. That's life.

It's so easy to forget how intense feelings can be when we are young. I used to be a mentor for young people and they can be hurt so very easily and every trauma really does seem like the end of the world. We get more cynical as we get older and take more knocks. Believe me Rucky (you probably won't) but you will feel better quite quickly and move on.
Not the nicest age to be 17.

Yes Red, but we can say it all we like and young people will still not believe us. How many of us ever believed what our parents told us when we were young. In retrospect we can see they were right, but at the time we thought they just didn't understand.

hi rocky, I along with many others will know the pain you are feeling, all I can say is the pain will fade away in time, but it will take time rocky, there is no other cure for how you feel, crying is natural, never be afraid to show your emotions, when i split with my then girlfriend I felt like I had been stabbed through the heart it is the most painfull hurt and it is very real, try to find something to take your mind off of it during the daytime, I know the pain is worse at night but you are going to have to deal with that, as I said over time the pain is more bearable , slowly but surely you will rebuild your life, good luck rocky, take it easy and try to look forward, Ray
