A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in the United Kingdom .

Well, there's a very simple answer.

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low.

The reason for that is purely geographical.

Our OIL is located in

The North Sea

Our DIPSTICKS are located in Westminster !!!

There is a great deal of oil in Windsor, on the south coast, off the Southwest coast of Scotland, and elsewhere.

the oil price has rissen due to the massive extra demand that has come from developing countries like india, china etc...
there massive expansion and increase in living standards has been the major drive behind a few price hikes, for instance steel when china started a huge building policy about 6 or so years ago.
