Ah what a shame, they are amazing creatures, and there is no love lost between me and slugs, so send them to me!! Sorry, don't have any advice as to how to discourage them!

You like slugs? They eat all our seedlings here - between them and rabbits, we can't grow lettuce any more...

If you encourage slugs, then that will encourage frogs & toads - they'll have a good food source. Get rid of the slugs, like any sensible person would & the amphibians will move out as well. Why on earth would you want to keep slugs? They're revolting! Did you know that they eat excrement (cats', dogs', foxes', human!)??

I did wonder, Cetti, but thought I'd try & give a sensible answer anyway, because it sounds a bit genuine. Knowing the diverse lot we get on here, I suppose it's quite possible to have the only person in the world who actually LIKES slugs! (I still don't understand why, slugmonkey - I think you're absolutely mad!!!)
