Tonight on the way home, in broad day light, in the centre of town, I saw this man being beaten up by three other men. He was on the floor and they were stamping on his head and hitting him, No one was helping and the bus driver wouldnt let me off the bus to help. Feel really upset. I called the police but it was just so awful.
Then, whilst still on the phone to the police, (i had gotten off the bus by then) i heard screeching of brakes and shouting. Anyway, a bus had cut in front of a car, the driver had gone mental - the bus stopped and the driver of the car got out and started hitting the bus driver through the window. The police lady on the end of the phone was asking what was happening and i was giving her the cars registration plate numnber and the guy turned and loked right at me - am sure he heard what i was doing. So i ran into the nearest shop. What is wrong with people?! What a horrible world we live in!

Just modern Britain I'm affraid.
I always did think what anarchy would be like.
Well it seems with the current justice system ,we are heading very quickly into it.
It seems like you can do anything these days and get away with it. Even if you do end up in prison ...well it dont sound like bad life. More like a cheap free travel lodge with sports and training.
no legend i said where i live its nice and safe as some times my son leave his bike in the front garden when he is to lazy to open side gate and no one nicks it ..ok ...
I live in Bristol - luckily it wasnt where i live, as i live in lovely quiet area....
I'm female and yes all my friends said it was best not to get off the bus but NO ONE was doing anything at all!! Big men where walking past and nothing! not even getting there phones out to call police or anything!
Don't give up, there's still lots of lovely people out there. It is horrible to think that some people would pass by and do nothing while someone's being hurt.
You did the right thing, and that's a good example to other people. Don't give in, and don't let the people who don't care, be an example to us.
that was my point exactly, I praise the bus driver for not letting a female get involved. that said that is terrible and somebody should have stopped it. especially 3 on 1, if people want to have a fight leave them to it if it's fair, but 3 against one especially when the one is on the floor already... thats not even close to a fair fight and somebody (several people even) should have stopped it.
sadly we now live in a "it's not my problem" society
