why does pie stay so hot?????

my silly hubby would like to know why pie stays so hot even half an hour after coming out of the oven AND how long do you think it would take to boil a whole carrot (not sliced). all answers welcome!!!

hi naf, pie stays hot for so long after coming out of the oven cos the crust keeps all the heat in..i made that up, dunno if its true

ide have to say the carrot is pretty standard size not to big not to small hehe.. oh he is a daft old ****** but i suppose i knew that when i married him

What type of pie? A sweet pie will have sugar in it which stays hot for a very long time...

lol just your run of the mill chick pie with sauce in it!! he really does think of the most random stuff, its funny tho ina strange knda way!!!
