Suggestions for a funeral reading please?

Hi, I wonder if any of you have any poetic suggestions for a funeral reading please?
The person concerned was male, elderly, had been ill for some time and was a very forthright character, so nothing too flowery or cheesey please:)
I'm currently looking at 'Do not go gentle in that good night' and 'Remember me', but neither are quite right I feel.
Any help or suggesitons most gratefully recieved.

At the little jokes we always enjoyed together

Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you�d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what�s true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger

And love the people in our lives
