Hi

I'm going to tenerife in May. My little one will be 11 months then. By then she'll be on 3 meals a day and having a couple of bottles. our flight is at 7 in the morning so wondering what to do about breakfast and lunch on the plane. I'll be fine for taking on bottles but not sure about food.

I travelled by plane with her at 3 months and it was fine taking on 2 bottles and i had a few ready made cartons in my suitcase.

My dad will be in tenerife so he can have food ready for when we get to his but just lost as to what to do about her solids

The flight's only a few hours. If you feed her before you board the plane, I should imagine she'll be content with snack type foods (finger food) until you land?
You could just have toast before you get on the plane or take some baby cereal in a packet that can be made with milk or water whilst you are on the flight.
Or you could just give her a couple of rusks. It won't matter if she misses a meal just give her whatever she'll eat to keep her entertained.

thanks

the flight is 5 hours from where we fly from so will try and feed her up in the departure lounge on toast.

just read on another site you can take jar food on but you have to taste it
My kids liked snacking on dry cheerios and raisins when we flew - it made a change from the crisp/savoury snacks.
what about taking her a yoghurt, rusks, bannana, anything to keep her occupied really.

hi

i was worried because your not allowed to take food or drink on normally but just thinking the departure lounge has a boots so can buy baby foods their to take on the plane. just cant take it through the security

have read elsewhere you have to open any foods you take on for babies
dont feed her too much like my mum did when i was about that age and we went to australia.
by the time we arrived, she picked me up and what came out the side of my nappy???
bet that embarrassed her
lol :)
