We won't win Eurovision with this song, Lloyd Webber
15 Answers
Lloyd Webber made it so obvious he wanted Jade to win that I suspected the voting may go against her because of it. But it seemed like he'd written his Eurovision song for her and he got his wish. Not only did it best suit Jade's style, it sounded like something composed for an X Factor winner, so Lloyd Webber is well aware of Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke's success over the last two years. But it sounded even more like a number by Gerladine, Peter Kay's alter ego - particularly the silly lyrics. There is no way the UK can win Eurovision with that song. What do you think?

Unlike what grovelling Graham Norton claimed, it ain't memorable either. I'm not sure ALW can be forgiven for the way he brought Jade into the contest either - bypassing thousands of others and put straight through to the second round. Hmmmm.

It was a typical LLoyd Webber ballad I thought it was a great song suitalbe for Eurovision! On the night Jade sang it best! It still won't win as politics take over on Eurovision night, but I think the song will be a hit and a big career move for Jade! Andrew LLoyd Webber is a brilliant composer and not afraid to face up to critics !
I liked the song like you Mary T, but I liked 'The Twins' interpretation of it, I'm sure it could be a winner with them, fresh faced, different, lovely girls.
Yes ALW pushed for a sympathy vote going on about Jade's parents. Other parents wern't discussed.
What is it about all these gospel type singers? all trying to be another Witney Housten.
The Twins would have got us a win. you'll see.
phylkat.

I thought that Jade performed it best, but I don't like the song at all! It sounded a very typical Andrew Lloyd Webber song to me and you could imagine it being in one of his musicals (and they got in a world beating prize songwriter for the lyrics!) but I don't think that it's right for Eurovision.
Having watched last nights show, have you ever seen anyone so completely in love with himself as last years Russian winner?! (his name escapes me - )

All the way through the competition it was obvious that Jade was going to win. ALW even let it (sort of) slip that he had written the song for Jade. I accept that Jade is the best all-round performer but...
The twins' version of the song had a lot more chance of winning Eurovision than Jade's. Or, at least, getting a decent way up the board.
No way we'll get anywhere near the top now.

A couple of sqeaking Polish ferrets have a much better chance than this young lady. Our greatest success has come with songs sung from internationally known stars. But who will risk the humiliation. To be perfectly honest I have found it to be a bit of a bore over recent years. So much so I find myself fal.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
