Faulty shower pump - can anyone advise please?
2 Answers
Hey all, bushy is back with another plumbing dilemma (maybe time to move house?!)
I have a cold water tank that feeds into an immersion heater in the airing cupboard of my flat. There is a Aqualisa 2TE 3 bar pump attached, which does the cold feed to the bathroom and the hot feed to both bathroom and kitchen.
This morning I had my shower as normal but when I came to brush my teeth there was hardly any water coming out. The shower pump is making the noise for when it starts up, but its not doing anything. More worryingly, my flat now smells of burning plastic.
Is it dead and will I need to spend more money on plumbing parts? Or do you think it can be repaired? Or might something else be the problem?
To compicate matters, when my shower broke the other month I had all sorts of gunk coming in with the hot water from the tank emptying out and churning up. Could this have anything to do with it?
Many thanks and hoping someone can wave a magic wand x
