she intends to keep it in her bag tomorrow .
its not a very funny story I know, but I hope it takes yr mind off worrying about yr little un.

Thanks afc, your poor friend. I hate these alarm things, i just stick my keys through my fingers to give me freddy krueger nails when i'm out walking with the intention of swiping anyone who comes near me.

Ok, big sigh of relief. Husband has just phoned and they're on the way home. As i thought just been hit hard by a nasty bug. I know i seem like a neurotic so and so; it's just bad timing. Tomorrow would have been my dad's birthday and he was so well and happy when we all went out for his 60th 2 years ago and he was really ill a month later and gone a few months after that. Yuurgh, really need to pull myself together here1
Ahem...
Thank you, stoke - i hope things are getting a bit better for you.
Bigmamma i've not been on so much lately. Still check in a lot even if i don't post.
Thanks to all others who have helped me keep, if not sane, then a little less crazy.

A few years ago my daughter's dog ran away and when we got her back from Battersea they said keep an eye on her in case she's picked anything up or has caught kennel cough. A few days later my daughter was worried that the dog had a cough - I said it's just a cough and she's doing it for attention as every little noise you run and pick her up and baby her. 3am Monday morning my daughter rings up crying "mum, she's coughing, she's got kennel cough, she's coughing, she's dying etc etc" . I found an all night vet, picked my daughter and dog up and we got to the vet about 4am. Daughter and dog go in with vet, ten minutes later back out, daughter and dog both smiling. I said all ok, yes they both nod, so i said wait for me in car while I pay the bill. 95 on my card but I was pleased the dog would survive. Thanked vet and assistant profusely, gave the assistant a 5 for their tea and biscuits and went and got in car. As we drove off I asked daughter what was wrong with the dog? " oh it's just a cough, nothing wrong with her at all" she said with a happy smile!!! 100 for a second opinion on a cough!
