You are new to answer bank but would you please put your questions all together instead of taking up so much space.It is also a good idea to try and work out the answers yourself and only request help when you are really stuck. Otherwise you will find people unwilling to help you.

That's a wonderful welcome to a new member on the site! If all the cribbers and whingers are not prepared to give answers, then why not stay off Answerbank altogether.

I am not a whinger and my comments were not supposed to be taken as nasty. Taking up so much space has always been pointed out as unneccessary as a guide to newcomers. And surely it is better to try and answer as many questions as possible before asking for help or what is the point of doing competitions.It is better to exercise the brain by trying first ,well that is my idea of competitions. I often have to ask for help and welcome the replies but it is a last resort. So RJUKL welcome to the answer bank and I hope no offence taken.

glasman - you ask why the whingers don't stay off AB alltogether. I have a much better suggestion. Why don't all those who only ever ask questions and never answer any (and I'm not including you in this) stay off AB? Similarly those that can't be bothered to say thanks for any answers given.

Yes its a question and answer site but it would be nice if they tried to do some themselves
Someone asked 21 of a quiz with only 32 answers over the weekend - again not a word of thanks and am sure they would have asked more if there hadnt been some comments - what is the point

Patsyann, Pulse, and Smouse - it just got up my nose that a new member on possibly their first query got castigated for doing so . Appreciate that you all have issues with others that don't try too hard . I myself do loads of crosswords and puzzles and (due to research, Googling,etc ) rarely have to ask anything on this site. I often give the benefit of the doubt as some people may not be familiar with search sites. Bye for now and sorry if I annoyed some of you.

glasman, patsyann was really polite and not wearing the grumpy hat at all. This new person means we could have got back further than page 10 if all the questions were in one post..
Some of us actually have a life beyond AB and don't sit checking all day and night.
Perhaps you'll be sent to the dungeon for over answering.
