Giving blood
21 Answers
I'm giving blood on Tuesday and for some reason I'm getting nervous about doing it. This is bizarre because I've been giving blood on and off for nearly 20 years without a second thought. This is also doubly bizzare as I had an accupuncture session earlier today.
Anyhooo, do you get nervous about certain things you are going to do?

The thing is ...
I also gave blood a few weeks ago. The needle snapped, and got lodged in my arm.
It was sheer agony.
Later on, it became septic, then gangrenous.
My arm had to be amputated.
Sadly, the infection had spread to the other arm, which also had to be amputated.
By this time, I had got blood poisoning. Both legs were infected, and had to be amputated.
All I had left was my head and torso. Because of my total immobility, all my main organs failed, and they amputated my body.
All I am left with is my head, and a straw in my mouth to operate my computer.
And now ... I've got a migraine.

I thought a joke might ease your tension and nerves.
But, actually, I did give blood in December.
Everybody is a bit nervous about having a needle stuck in them, but it's fine ...
... and it's for a very good cause.
They need blood so badly.
Good you for doing it.

ps. "Legless" gag ... very good x x x
(unfortunately, I'm working late tonight, while my pals are out having fun)
