Now that scientists have concluded that the first humans originated in West Africa and spread out from there can it be assumed we are all descended from the coloured race?
I have recently read that a link has been found in prehistoric Chinese that gives them at least an equal chance of being the root of our common ancestry.
Also, it is doubtful whether the race in Africa that it is typically assumed we were evolved from, were in any way similar in appearance to the Negro, Caucasian or Arabic ethnicities.
We are talking about a common ancestor that no longer exists in its original form.
There is no legitimate scientific support for an east Asian ancestry. The genetic evidence is quite clear that we came from African origins.
However it is now suspected by some scientists that the common ancestor was light skinned and melanin increased in the lineages that remained in Africa.
However such a hypothesis would be very difficult to confim.
