Its that time of year again (well actually its overdue by 2 months) when my house will turn into a bloodbath. Tiggs and Bluey need to get their boosters done and getting them in their boxes isn't my idea of fun. Then listening to them growling and yowling in the back seat of the car is horrible. Good job its only once a year! My appointment is at 4.40 but I wish I could have got it over and done with this morning.
morning tigger, hope you are ok in yourself pet, had a wee yorkie and he was nearly 18 when he died, couldn't have another pet, it was heartbraking and remember it like it were yesterday,,,,horrible
Hi Joy, know what you mean. I had my cat Snoopy for 15 years and he had to be put done on my birthday in 2000. I was devastated. Then about a year later I went to Battersea cats & dogs home and got these 2.
Best of luck today for tiggs and bluey and it is awful....the wait...i would rather have it first thing in morning too!
We had a tame pet budgie that sadly passed away last year, but we took her to the vets and she was great with them, as loved people and not nervous at all...........she was 13 years old though so really good age....she got an unoperable lump on her back....tried a few vets for them to operate...they said because of her age, she may not survive the operation, so we decided to prolong her life and with medication passed away peacefully in her sleep one night, so had a good life and we used to let her fly where she liked( windows closed just in case)....many times she tried to just land on our fingers again, or bombed on the floor and started walking about the place.
It is very sad when these things happen. The trouble with animals is that they can't tell you something is wrong until too late when you notice there is something wrong. And as its too late its often untreatable.
Tigger has been overlicking the fur on her back recently so we'll get thet seen to as well. I have a feeling she's allergic to flea bites. Very awkward thing to have an allergy to when you're a cat! Lol
Hi yogi! (and tiggs everyone else, of course). [:o)
I used to have a budgie with a huge tumour in her stomach. It was massive. She couldn't fly as it was too heavy for her to take off.
I took her to the vet, expecting him to put her to sleep, but he examined her and said the tumour was not pressing on any of her internal organs. She couldn't fly but she used to pull herself up the wire and sit with the rest of the birds.
She seemed to cope very well with it, so the vet said it wasn't necessary to put her to sleep. She lived for another year, seemingly quite happily, with the lump.
unconditional love,,,that's what theey give you, I used to come in from work in a bad mood sometimes, and there was little Alfie ready with his doe like eyes waiting for me to sit down and he could jump on my lap,,,,oh, I do miss him.
i need to take murph to get hers done. its all the yelling that does my head in and there's not let up from the minute shes in the car to the vets and out again she just yells non stop. and then its the sulks for the next couple of days with the 3am wake up calls......
i wonder if i can get the OH to take her when i go to my mums for the weekend, that way she'll blame him hmmmmmmmmmm
