Where have I seen the "Crosswell Tapeworm" mentioned?

I know that I have heard of a weight control organism called a "Crosswell Tapeworm" mentioned in one of the novels I have read recently. I can not remember what the book is called, but sure it is in science fiction. Can anyone tell me where I have seen this, and more importantly can you actually buy live tapeworms to lose weight? I know that this would be a last resort, of course!
