Lowered Kerb

I have a lowered kerb to enable me to access my driveway. Approx the end 50cm of this goes over to my neighbours side, followed by a metre of kerb, and then his lowered kerb for his driveway entrance.
Sometimes, he parks part of his car on this 50cm bit of lowered kerb, and I struggle to turn left because of this as the road is too narrow to pass safely. Yes it can be done with some manoeuvring, but should I have to?
He's not directly blocking my driveway, as I can get out fine if I'm heading the other direction, and I cant find any sort of rules regarding this form of parking.
Is he allowed to park on that bit of lowered kerb?
Any help greatly appreciated, before I go chat to him.

Thought about that, then decided to get some advice first.

Was only joking -- seriously he is selfish and nasty with it and I hope you will be able to find an answer, would an enquiry at the police station help , not as a complaint , but just a query.

Possibly as a last resort. May even contact the council instead though, was hoping someone knew the law regarding this.

Although you are not technicly allowed to block a dropped curb driveway when there is a car in their, parking enforcement wouldn't bother if it was a small encroachment or didn't block access.

It doesn't matter if the drop is over your neighbours side or not. The actual drop should be in the road so who owns what house is not an issue.

Your best course of action would be to ask him to be a little more considerate.

Do you live on a narrow lane? or are there a lot of parked cars on the oposite side of the road? As long as cars are parked legaly it is down to you to make sure you enter and exit your property safetly.
