hi in vain hope i post this question.Years ago i made a cake (recipe from a mag) it was called night before christmas,basically the top of the cake was based on a living room sofa,fireplace,rug xmas tree & pressies all made from marzipan and icing moulded into these various shapes,it was excellent,so therefore my question is, has anybody out there ever heard of this cake and by a miracle have the recipe?
No help really..but I have been thro my file as I made it as well. I am sure it was a Women's Realm recipe and I remember that the fireplace was made from a cut off from the main cake and placed on top. I made tiny Christmas cards for the mantle piece as well.
I found a woman's weekly mag with cakes in (but not that one ) and I now think it was from that publication. If I can find photo I will post link but don't hold your breath as my photos are in a complete mess.

its good of you to take the time and trouble whatever the outcome.It would be amazing to find the recipe again,i cant believe anyone else remembered this cake ,it was pretty impressive i think,still as you say i wont hold my breath but again many thanks..
