Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory drugs (NSAID's).........e.g Ibuprofen.

If no improvement then injection of steroids into the affected area.
You could wear a special arm strap for sport or any strenuous work which inviolves lifting. I had just one injection and seem to be cured, but they don't always work.
rest and anti-inflammatories
Get a Tennis Elbow strap from your local Pharmacy or Sports Shop.[Not Boots, they don't stock the correct ones]
Wear it all day.It may take a couple of months, but it does work. You have my sympathy.I suffered this last year.I'm fine now.

I'm on Glucosamine Sulphate for my tennis elbow and its more of less gone...
It can take up to 3 months for the tablets to work though...do read up on the Glucosamine as it isn't suitable for everyone..
I went along to an osteopath and it was sorted within the week. Make sure you're drinking lots of fluids, dehydration is the cause and part of the remedy. Anti-inflammatory drugs do work but not kind on the stomache.
There's a technique performed by specially certified physical therapist (US) that has a success rate of at least 90% with both of those problems you listed. It's called ASTYM, which is an instrument-assisted soft tissue technique, which when combined with appropriate exercise, has the success rate I quoted above. This is not some crazy method, but rather something developed and researched by a sports medicine physician. You can check out at their website for more information. www.astym.com
