The Banks
I know we're all sick of hearing this but the incredible debt this country is in is because of borrowing to prop up the banks. It is enraging that vital services will be cut because of banking greed and yet the culprits are not facing any consequences. Sir Fred Goodwin is probably reading this from his Caribbean pad. I heard threats that if the government do anything they'll leave the city and go elsewhere? To where?! Are they suggesting that they'll learn Mandarin and move to Beijing with their families? Would the Chinese authorities tolerate their antics?

Gordon Brown's terrible management of the economy is also to blame.
He seems happy to give away money in benefits to anyone and everyone (Housing Benefit costs 15 BILLION a year, Tax Credits cost 4 BILLION a year in fraud alone), yet he does almost nothing to generate new business and new jobs.
If anyone is to blame for this country going down the pan it is Gordon Brown.
