and before anyone says I meant way too early. I hate when people get that wrong myself

i agree. All my neighbours and many FB friends put decorations up on saturday. Its crazy.
There is no way mine will go up until after the 15th or so. I just wont be able to deal with little CRX asking if its Christmas yet and baby CRX (and the cats) pulling the decorations off the tree.
I love Christmas, the earlier the better!
the santa's in asda are scaring me, its not funny when you're half asleep and some robot santa thing yells at you
I love xmas too, but it does seem to get earlier and earlier each year.

Last friday evening went to my first of many xmas parties, complete with hats and crackers!!! What a joke!
It will soon be Easter :)
When there were children in the family the Christmas tree was put up just a couple of days before Christmas, but never earlier than the weekend before Christmas. I don't bother now!! All this Christmas stuff starts far, far, too early and by the time Christmas day arrives it's just a huge anticlimax and Mums are usually exhausted. We also used to have our Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve evening so that we could spend Christmas day relaxing and playing with new toys. We had one present each with our Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve.

It's far, far too commercial these days anyway and I am amazed at how much people actually spend on presents for their children. At the end of the day money doesn't buy love.

Yours,

Scrooge!! (not really- I shall enjoy a quiet Christmas with a lovely meal and my family around me and then will be glad that it is over!!)
red 15th sounds fine with me too.

fluffy I avoid asda normally, now there's another reason :D

4get, did you have a good time tho?
Speaking of robot Santas.

Lofty i know what you mean i remember when we used to go to my aunts in germany and we'd all put the tree up on xmas eve and decorate, then open a few pressies in the evening. i'm glad i'm not a mum don't think i'd cope!

as least all i have to do is open the pub, serve people beer for a bit then chill out for the rest of the day!

albaqwerty course I did from what I remember. Had fun eating food I shouldnt have been eating, and toasting to my boss who I had never ever met. lol And then gave everyone a rendition of wizard of ox on helium. I dont think I will be going in waitrose for a long time. lol
lol a sure fire sign that you enjoyed yourself :D
wizard of ox on helium????????????????

the mental image is undescribable and this was in waitrose?
McFluff. Mr LL spent his childhood in Germany - I think that is where our ideas originated from. The Christmas tree was put up in Germany on Christmas Eve after the children had gone to bed and was a great cause of wonder on Christmas morning. Made things more magical.

woops sorry wizard of oz, (I may still be drunk) It was at the waitrose xmas party that I gatecrashed
lofty ;-)
Morning Sqad.

Got your tree up yet? ;o)
After the palaver I had in Asda this weekend, I will be avoiding them in the future.

They are con merchants. They advertise cheap drink and when you go to buy, they either deny all knowledge or only put out a limited number of bottles. I went to Morrisons instead, much better.
