In the pub last night i said i could remember the name that Pringles went by when they first came out.No-one could recall the name, or infact that they were ever called anything else but Pringles.Does anyone else remember the name?

According to Wiki, which I agree is not always 100% it, Pringles have always had that name..?

''Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips'' was the name given to them when they were first produced in the USA in 1968. The name was shortened later to just Pringles. (And Mr Julius Pringle is the name of the character on the pack).

Sorry,I must stand corrected BOO and heathfield.Although Stackers were definitely the same as Pringles in shape and packaging.They were around in the late 70's-early 80's,it appears they could have been made by Walkers.
