My friend at work has recently been divorced (quite amicable split but instigated by her) and this is his first xmas alone. They have two teenage children who will be living with their Mum. Who do I make the card out to? Just him, him and the kids, all 4 of them cause she still pops in etc? Don't want to upset anyone!

i would send two separate cards to their own individual address.
Could you address the envelope with something like 'The X Family' and then write inside 'Merry Christmas to you all' - that way you can avoid leaving anyone out.
just put to him and family.
Dont put anything, put on the envelope "To XXXX & family" and then inside just put something along the lines of "with best wishes for Christmas and the new year from ...."
