It is likely that the requirements will be quite onerous regarding security of storage, possible also effects on your fire precautions. Remember to get information from your insurance company and get ready for a big hike in premiums. Are you sure this makes economic sense?

I's be pretty sure that the law is going to be different for a trader, a basic shotgun licence only enables you to hold a smallish supply of cartridges and strictly speaking they don't need to be locked away (though it looks a lot better if they are when you get your inspection and is, of course, safer)
At the end of the day it's the local firearms officer that is going to have to sign off your application so you may as well ask him/her what they expect to start with.
