Afternoon Everyone,

Plans for the weekend?

I am being forced to visit a friend for lunch on Sunday - therefore missing my traditional family Sunday Lunch. Just because it is his "birthday" or something equally as ridiculous. As we're having a curry - doesn't seem like a lunchtime thing to me really. I find his actions very inconsiderate.

Besides that I am quite looking forward to the weekend!

All the best

Spare Ed

PS. The weekend Ed is having this Friday off, so you'll be lucky enough to have my company tonight. Anyone got any games planned?

Lunch with parents any time now, then tonight with Tara-ra-bum-ti-eh and vino.
Tomorrow to BF's house - pig-out, swim, lay-in, newspapers, lazy breakfast, healthy boring walk, cinema, more food and drink....

Nothing too exciting or exciting or liable to sustain injury. Well, apart from tonight....
i'm going to play 'pull a pint' later, that's a bout it for me
Hi Ed.

I've just been making shortcrust pastry for my pie. I will just potter around and clean up the villa today, maybe take Alf for a walk down the beach if there's not too many people down there. Will go shopping tomorrow and potter around again. Will probably cook a paella on Sunday and spend the afternoon getting ratted out the front with the sun on my face. :-)
Nowt exciting for me!!

The usual I guess, washing, shopping, ironing and cooking!!

Oh I forgot babysitting too!
I believe the usual mud-wrestling tournament is planned for CB, so you might need a peg for your nose.
Going to see local footie team play tomorrow.

Ah, pie!

how local is the football.

Here is a question for you all: Who Invented the Pause Symbol?

Any help appreciated!

not much planned, working tomorroy :(

(the pause symbol is based on the chinese chacator that means pause)
I am so glad its the weekend too, but there is so much to do at the weekend when u work full time, washing, cleaning, ironing. Usually Monday u r more shattered than u were on the Friday.

Im sure other people will agree with this...:-)
Going for a hill walk with friends and kids with dinner and overnight at their place - i'm sure a few glasses of vino will be in order.

Sorry for the typos guys!

Thanks Chuck. Helpful as always.

Hill walking sounds good - I doubt I will get a chance to do much "outdoorsey" this weekend - beyond walking between resturants/pubs etc.

Pause symbol

it comes from the japanese character "リ" which indicates a pause
hi wee ed
The steggess is no well, just a bit of flue, so i will be looking after her. might go up to my mates later the night for a wee while, football the morn ( St Johnstone v scumdee united )
the Chinese character also found it's way into music notation as the caesura symbol

http://wpcontent.answ...0px-Music-caesura.png

Which indicates a pause in a verse.
im working til 5 and then staright off to little CRX parents eve at nursery.

the rest of the weekend is empty apart from the usual housework and cleaning etc.

No investigations this week, the team have been busy and the producting team are frantically trying to get the latest episodes together so we are having a break before 5 weekends in a row starting next week.
Hmm, OK it may have been a Japanese symbol, not Chinese :)
Good Afternoon AB Ed. I am (fingers crossed) hoping to go up to St Andrews for the weekend. I have been convalescing after surgery on my ankle and am in desperate need of a break! Forgive the pun. :0]
I'm not much fussed either way Chuck ;o)
