CUBA beach holiday for adults

We'd like to go to cuba next January 2011. We'd like to see Havannah but probably only for one day. The remainder of the time we'd like a beach holiday. Any of you been there? If so what is a good place / hotel. Two adults only...and ideally NOT a kiddie-friendly place (ie: adults mainly with no loud kiddies clubs etc) . looking at a sandals resort but wanting an other options too. thanks

We went to Cuba in 2008 for our honeymoon and stayed at the Paradissus Rio de Oro in Guardalavaca in the south east of the island. Hotel was all inclusive and the food was excellent. We were told that this hotel was the best in that area and 2nd best in Cuba on several occaisions. We did a 2 day visit to Havana staying overnight at the Hotel Nacional. Even though this is one of the best hotels in Havana the food was not a patch on that at our hotel. The 2 days in Havana were just enough to get a taste of the place and well worth it. If I remember it was about a 2 hour flight and cost about £500 for 2 of us. Beach at the Paradissus is really good with sailing, snorkelling, and horseriding all free. Scooter hire outside hotel. Not much to do in surrounding area though and little nightlife. Resort of Varadero is a bit livlier and is also nearer to Havana.

Forgot to add that Paradissus was over 18s only and £500 included flights , hotel, food, evening at copacabanna and guided tour.
