It's a bit of a knee-jerk reaction, given the lack of facts.

Suppose the security guard had been given a tip off, that that a customer of Afro American extraction had a bomb.

You have seconds to decide how to save lives ... what do you do?

Ask EVERYONE to leave the store?

There are too many customers. In the crush, they might all get blow up, so ... wrong decision.

Try to identify the bomber? ... by asking only black people to leave?

Either the bomber leaves with the others, and the bomb is out of the store, and everyone can scatter.

Or, he stays in the store, and can be identified, as the only remaining black customer.

It is not politically correct ... but it might save hundreds of lives.

Is it worth risking the deaths of all those people, just to be PC ?

You see ... we need more facts.

My guess is that it was a prank by an employee - nothing else.

I doubt very much that if there were a terrorist in the store, management would take it upon themselve to deal with the situation in such a fashion, because it would be...how can I put it...
