Following AOG's thread about taking photos at every opportunity can i just add something that is currently at front of my mind.

Please please take lots of photos of your children and loved ones. Not only do you see the changes clearly as they grow up but also it can be a life saver.

A friend on mine recently noticed her childs photo showed one eye reflecting white, then found that these had been occuring for the previous few weeks, to cut a long story short the daughter was found to have (a very rare i may stress) type of cancer in her eye and within 3 weeks was blind in that eye and had the eye removed. All at the age of 4 years old.

when viewing photos i had taken at the weekend, my partner noticed a white eye reflection in one of my son. Without wanting to scare me Mr CRX took little CRX to every optician in town after school and no-one would see him. He then went to the GP who cant see any problems, but we are going to an optician today for a second opinion. I know that all other photos have been fine and im sure all is well but i want to be sure.

Are you taking the picture with you?

got the photo with me, yes ummmm :)

Im sure all will be fine, but after my friends little girl, plus one other that i know of who had troubles (though not cancer) i just wanted to mention it to as many people as i can. Just take lots of photos everyone :)

thanks for your best wishes xx
mum just showed me photo. But alot of photos on that day havent got anything wrong with his eye. May just have been a bit of dust floating in the air at the time or camera caught a bit of light from somewhere else. Best to get checked out though. I had read about it alot in the papers where children had this eye thing in photos. One woman in america even saw a pic of a friends friends child in england and contacted them as soon as and probably saved it spreading any further. Hope he's ok, let me know as soon as xx
redcrx,
Best wishes.

just got back. Little CRX has no problems with his eyes at all :)

the optician did say though, as i knew, that any photos like this should be checked out with no delay just in case.

I can now breathe out again :) x
good news x
That's good Red x
Excellent news. always best to check these things out. Did little crx wonder what the heck was going on? (how old is he?)
Great news, red.......you can relax again now x

hes almost 5. He was quite excited about his little adventure and enjoyed showing off his skills at letter recognition.
He did try telling me that the reason he had a white eye was because it had spun around when i took the pic. He says it should have spun to red like the other one but didnt. (he must think he has various colours around his eyeball to change for different circumstances)

Dont you just love the things kids come out with. On the way to the shops last summer I was trying to explain to my 5 year grandaughter my the sun was in different places. Everytime we changed direction she kept saying "look Nana there's another Sun"
