Soho

when I was a young lad (many many moons ago)(aged 12 or 13) whilst visiting London my Dad took me to Soho, because he said it was where the best italian restuarants were (and quite right too, we had a fantastic italian luch)
But i couldn't help but notice all the shop sign's, "live two in a bed for 50p" - "live adult shows here 50p" etc etc and all the shop doorways had beautiful young ladies on the doorstep to entice young men in i presume! my Dad laughed as i walked down the road with my jaw on the floor!
Having not been to London for at least 25yrs is Soho still like this? or has this side of Soho long gone?

lol no, it's not like that! well, not overtly anyway.

I went to Aldo Zilli's fish restaurant in Soho a couple of weeks ago, and it was fantastic.

it's more controlled now so you have a few licensed sex shops but fewer (or less visible) signs, and young ladies, in doorways. I don't know how product standards compare, but in my youth you could have a three-course meal, an evening at the theatre and the services of Lillie Langtry for the rest of the night and still have change from one and threepence.
