Howard Webb gets the World Cup Final
No offence to Howard, I wish him all the best, but just think of Lineker, Hansen, Chiles and Motson talking about the World Cup Final without mentioning Holland or Spain. They will cling to this like drowning men rould a lifebelt. I can see the pre-match profile, his life story, what he was doing in 1966 when England won the World Cup, how he would have dealt with Maradonna's 'hand of God' and how he would never mistakenly disallow a goal when the ball had crossed the line. I'm off to top myself now so I don't have to suffer their sycophantic ramblings on Sunday!

Webb is by far the best referee at this tournement and I'm delighted for him, it's the pinnacle of a referee's career. His sucess of course is made possible by the Failure of the England team. I doubt he'll be discussed much after all who can name the last Englishman to referee a world cup final, without googling go on be honest. So off you go and jump under a bus, what part of Scotland are you from?
R1Geezer, You seem to have missed the fact that I wished Howard all the best, it's the prats on the sports programmes I'm slagging. Some people don't take time to read things properly. Without Googling Jack Taylor was the ref in the 1974 final between West Germany and The Netherlands. He awarded two penalties in the first half hour.
Yes, I am from Scotland, what gave me away? Was it my accent?
