Is it possible I have OCD about things being even and in patterns?

These are some of the things I do;

# If I rub my tongue round a tooth etc, I have to do it again the other way.

# I painted stencils onto my bedroom wall, in random ways, and now two that are clsoer together than others really annoys me.

# I have to have matching socks. I have a set of white trainer socks that have three pairs of slightly different purple stripes, but I have to wear the ones that match.

# I never wear pigtails (even when i was little because one side of my head has thicker hair and it annoys me if I see it uneven.)

# I have to make sure I brush each quarter of my set of teeth for the same amount of time.

. . . it goes on, please don't make me paranoid, but have I got OCD for things being even and in a pattern?

It doesn't sound like OCD to me. Just the weird little things you like to do. we all have them.

But i have to follow this a feel wierd for example, if I don't rub my teeth the other way for example.
do you want to have OCD?
does it really matter?
We all have our weird ways Molly. If you had to rub your teeth that way because you feared the world might end then you may have an issue.

Really is something out of nothing!
Question Author
Not really, yes.
they are all just your weird ways, Molly.

And those chinese stencils are always there, looking at me and it's really annoying. I want to put a poster covering them up, but it's a weird place to put a poster, the only place you can see it from is my bed.
i like to rearrange my tackle with both hands.
to be fair, it takes to hands to manage it. so its only half ocd
I like things to be a certain way in my house. For example I have to clean the same way every day, I have to shower the same way every day, if my mascara is not even I will keep removing it and re-applying it until I get it right - I am weird and I have weird ways. I am not OCD. And I would take a leap and say neither are you. And you should hope and pray you never get that way.
Doesn't everyone wear matching socks?
My husbands a bit like about being touched e,g if I stroke his left cheek he will instantly run his hand down his right cheek; even if he gets a splash on one hand he'll transfer some of the water over to the same part of his other hand.

I , of course, have lots of fun with this. Licking his shoulder blade on one side and walking away is always good.

I do that with makeup aswell.

Plus my earrings annoy me, I haven't got my ears pierced, so I can clip them anywhere but I spend ages getting them symmetrical.
I think you have too much time on your hands molly. Work and studies tend to take our minds off the minutiae of life.

SB, no and they annoy me.

Ying, that's mean.

Plus if i'm blowing my nose, I have to do one nostril then the other, even if it doesn't need doing.

I don't go back to college until the 8th September.
Too much time on your hands is probably the answer as Count has said.
Tell me who doesn't wear matching socks?
No SB....My son purposely puts on odd ones.

If I rub my nose upwards I have to push it down again.

I can't stand touching door handles and such like.

Your stencils would annoy me and I'd have to paint over one of them.

I like things to be symmetrical.

I have to walk on the left hand side of someone.

I'm sure I could think of loads more if I could be bothered...
How strange. I must be behind the times.
He also wears pink ones...
