This is quite old news. The attack happened last year I believe.

You should have watched that program on Panorama last night about dogs. It seemed to revolve mostly about the Staffordshire Bull Terrier where people were bringing them into the animal centres by the droves. Its obviously got a bad temperament as they had to rehouse them in their own cages without any other animal contact.

Maybe your article refers to that breed. It should have been included in the Dangerous Dogs Act not to own, breed or give away this vicious animal.

Looking at the Battersea dogs home website it pretty much 75% SBTs.

I think it would be more beneficial to introduce a 'Dangerous Peoples Act' whereby it would be illegal to own, breed or give away the type of idiot that buys a dog as a fashion accessory.
