Haas anyone else had problems with postage stamps in the 12 stamp booklets? I have found recently stamps seem to stick more than previously to the backing paper, with the result the perforated sectin tries to remian in the booklet? Maybe I've been sold old stock or, could it be new and improved adhesive? B.

It has happened to me, I try to peel them gently from the bottom up, it seems to help but is a damned nuisance.
Can't say I've had that problem, but I always keep a Pritt Stick handy to reuse stamps when they haven't been franked on incoming mail. I can't believe that a first class stamp is 39p - that's more than seven shillings and sixpence in old money!
Yes boxy but they have little cut outs now that stay on the envelope.
Not if you do it carefully, if you take a bit of envelope with you it still works, promise! :-)
Good tip!!
Has been a problem sometimes But would like to point out that FIRST Class stamp is now 41p so more than 8 bob in old money and to think when we had the 10 bob brown note how much we could get for it....
Aarr pega, I remember when you could buy a brown loaf for 4d...... but you are right, eight shillings just to post a letter. That was a day's pay when I started out!
You do realise that using a previously used stamp is theft and consequently puts the price up for the rest of us. Hence 41p
