Alex Ferguson had (apparently) asked Rooney to be sensitive to the position of the club which had made him into a World star.
Rooney threw it in the Club's face.
He has the loyalty and honour of a gutter rat.
Hero? He's a disgrace.
If parents have any aspiration for a son, it should be ...
... please do not grow up into a Wayne Rooney.

i think rooney is now depending on his name in the game to get a high profile move from man united. i'm not a fan of man u or alex ferguson.
on his form and performnces over the last 8 months or so i don't think he'd actually get into any premiership team.
he should listen to fergie as he knows how to get the best out of players and keep them on the straight and narrow, obviously he wants to move as he doesn't want to work to regain his former self.
great player that could do great things but if i was a united i'd take any bid that come along as he may be finished (by that i mean his best has gone).
world class players don't become average, world class players are still world class when having a bad game, rooney is average when having a good game.
£200k a week, he's having a laugh.....greedy, fat & useless.

On an international level he's never managed to re-create the performance that gave him his reputation as a World class footballer; Euro 2004 against Croatia. He's been trading on those few goals ever since.
True, he's put some away in the league - not sure of the stats but for England he's never topped Euro 2004.
