They are large, nearly always about the same size and most people in the UK have seen one.
Yes, it's rather like the size of an iceberg being compared to "the size of Belgium".

Many things are also compared to the "size of Wales", and wtarerfalls and the like are also measured by how long it would take them "to fill the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral".
I once made a comment on here that there's enough land between England and Ireland to fill an area the size of Wales.
Someone commented back 'What are you talking about ? - that IS Wales'. ..er yes, well spotted.
Aircraft carriers reportedly have flight decks the size of 2 football pitches. For me, never having watched a game of football in my life, leaves me wondering how big a flight deck
really is.
