as an added topic could we have one for in my case scottish abers ? i believe the majority of abers are english, i know of other sites where this is an option (not just scottish )i have a few reasons to put to you re my suggestion. at the moment in scotland there is an importand perjury trial going on, i would like to hear from other scottish abers who are interested. ..............scottish law is different from english law. scotland has its own parliament................ in no way would this be an exclusive site, on a more trivial note imo the scottish humour does not travel well on the net, where we may think our replies are amusing, not everyone "gets the joke " thanks.

you mean like a "foreign news" type of sub catagory in news?
Set up your own 'Scottish' site.
I think you can discuss scottish law under the law category as it's fairly generic. I don't see the need for another category just for scottish ABers. And humour is subjective anyway so regardless of the nationality, the actual humour/joke may not be found funny, e.g. Billy Connolly - very funny, Michael Mcintire - annoying, shouty man according to my subjective humour.

abers who no longer live in scotland , or abers who have a scottish connection may be interested. and other nationalities could also have a topic if they wished. ie welsh. irish.
Why can't they use the categories already supplied? The categories are broad enough to include all areas in the UK and when asking a law question, users tend to stipulate if they are in Scotland. Still don't see the benefit it brings to the site.

thanks for your input, china.
You're welcome.

So we have an AB branch of the SNP ok but no voting in English only polls then...
Actually its quite a good idea so long as Markrae only uses his scottish Gaelic on it....not elsewhere on the site...
sorry but i agree with all the above, we dont need to have seperate topics for different nations,,, where would it stop,? we all belong to the UK, so come on anne, share your perjury trial with us abs in the law section.

thats one of my points usat, the vast majority of abers wont even have heard of this ongoing trial, and any post will be lost very quickly,
I'm not sure about the sense of humour..........I don't find you funny at all yet Steg is hilarious.

craft. im not trying to be funny, nor was i asking for any personal comments, thank
Start a thread in law about it and ask the ed to sticky it then so people can see it and write on it as appropriate. Ed's done it before for people who have wanted a weight loss or quiz thread highlighted.
Can we have subtitles! When we watch Taggart which is very enjoyable we put on the subtitles same with Rab C Nesbitt.
Well you mentioned the sense of humour first..........I was just giving examples.
the problem with having regional area's that although its a nice idea, everyone will want their area represented, also it may cause a little division in a subtle way

I want an Essex category then.
I want a section dedicated to how much I loved my Dad.
